Waukegan, IL – Candidate for Lake County State’s Attorney, Eric Rinehart, filed nominating petitions today for the Democratic Nomination for Lake County State’s Attorney in the upcoming Democratic primary elections to be held on March 17th, 2020.
Rinehart’s filing was an effort to reach all parts of Lake County with an impressive volunteer base that represents the diverse population of the county. Rinehart’s filing also comes on the heels of an impressive past few months that included:
- Top fundraiser in the 3rd quarter in the Lake County State’s Attorney race..
- Endorsement from 2016 Democratic Nominee Matt Stanton who suspended his campaign and endorsed Rinehart.
- Received key endorsements from elected officials
- The most mentioned Lake County candidate in the news this election cycle:
- Formation of a strong campaign team that includes fundraiser Hanah Jubeh (IL Attorney General Raoul), comms strategist Xavier Nogueras (Cook County Assessor Kaegi) and election attorney Ed Mullen (Chicago Reader “Best Lawyer of Chicago”)
“If you want to get to know what voters are feeling, there is no better way than to ask someone to sign your petition. I spoke to hundreds of voters during this process, and they are clear, they want a State’s Attorney’s office that is working smarter to make their communities safe. The current office has failed victims by refusing to fight, failed taxpayers by refusing to clean house, and failed Lake County by refusing to prioritize the prosecution of serious crimes. Lake County can do better.” said Eric Rinehart
